Penkta koja is an animal shelter established in 2008.
Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless animals in Lithuania through humane means such as sterilisation, responsible donation and public education. We aim to create a society where animal cruelty is reduced and pets are chosen and cared for responsibly.
Our activities are supported solely by private and legal donations - we do not receive any state or municipal funding. Every donation you make helps us save lives, heal, care for and give animals a better tomorrow.
Every dog that comes to our shelter has a story - often a painful one, full of betrayal, starvation and disease. They come to us wounded, emaciated and abandoned. But we believe that every life is worth fighting for.
Our shelter currently cares for around 400 dogs, each of whom needs not only warmth and a safe environment, but also daily medical care. Your donation will help us to cover veterinary costs: medicines, surgeries, vaccinations, marking, treatment for internal and external parasites, spaying/neutering. We will also provide a complete diet, from daily dry and wet food to special diets for seriously ill dogs: those struggling with oncological diseases, allergies or digestive disorders.
Every euro is an opportunity for one homeless animal to not only survive, but also to recover, regain trust in people and find a real home.
Contribute. Help. Save. 💛
Our day care centre is based on the principle of an inclusive environment. It is open to children with and without disabilities. We are open to helping children and their needs, so we are always looking for ways and opportunities to help them.
The donation is used to strengthen the activities of the day centre by developing them according to the children's individual needs (e.g. physiotherapy, speech therapy, art therapy, etc.).
Every child deserves love, care and the opportunity to grow up in a safe environment. Your support will help give children a better place to learn, play and dream! Even a small donation can change their lives. Every gesture you make is a step towards a better future.
Thank you for being there!

No matter what the child's social status, physical abilities, mental
abilities, every child is important and welcome in our day centre.
The girls were born with disabilities, but that doesn't stop them, like all children, from being naughty, sad, happy and learning.
