Together we can do more
Together we can do more. Let's share!
Sharing is a great way to express your concern for others. But showing kindness doesn't have to be a grand gesture. Even small acts of kindness can make a big difference to someone's day, or even their life. By donating clothes, items or food that are no longer wearable, you are helping those who are currently unable to afford them.
Sharing also strengthens the community and connects like-minded people. Sometimes we don't even know our closest neighbours. But maybe they are the ones who need your help right now?
Why is it important to donate to charities?
Donating to local charities is extremely important and rewarding work. By donating your time, money and other resources, you are helping people who have lost hope to cling to life. By helping families living in poverty, you create a happier environment where you live.
What can you donate?
- Clothes.
- Children's toys, board games.
- Personal hygiene products - shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.
- Bed linen, bedspreads, blankets, towels.
- Food (can be meat, vegetables, fruit).
- Long shelf-life products (canned fruit and vegetables, cereals, etc.).
- Volunteer your time.
- Money directly to the people.
- Donate to organisations that distribute funds based on basic needs.
How do I choose the organisation I want to donate to?
If you decide to donate, it's the first step towards good work! If you're not sure which area you'd most like to help, choose the one that's closest to your values.
Do you want to support children battling serious illnesses or families in need? Maybe you care about the future of technology and education and will invest in the education of young people? Do you most want to help people who have suffered accidents, or maybe support political parties or homeless animals?
If you want to help several organisations, you can volunteer your time to some and help others financially. Whichever you choose, your good deeds will be appreciated!

It is not enough to be aware of the problems that exist. To tackle them, we need to take action. Caring for others starts with small steps and we can each discover what we can give to others. Kindness comes back in spades, so we invite you to make sense of your life by contributing to your own and others' happiness.
Sharing creates wonderful things, and sharing this article is no exception!
